![]() PIKA's platform
technology provides a scalable open standards base on which to build computer
telephony applications. This approach enables you to target a variety of
markets by planning applications that span line densities and operating systems
without having to focus on the details of each different implementation. A
platform approach provides numerous benefits. It ensures a common programming
interface across operating systems, line types, and densities, enabling
generality in the solution of system configuration and integration issues.
Using platform technology, system issues are solved once and applied to the
platform rather than being implemented on an individual card basis. It saves
time both at the programming layer, and during integration. The platform
approach is only possible when hardware and software development is unified.
All PIKA products are built on a common hardware core that can be multiplied to
meet the performance requirements of the application. The hardware core is
controlled and executed by the software portion of the platform, consisting of
AllOnBoard DSP applications and MonteCarlo drivers.
